Welcome to the Jamia Masjid and Islamic Centre (JMIC - Slough).

Established in 1982, with its official opening on the 18th May 2001, the Mosque has been subject to rapid expansions (with many projects currently on-going) and growing popularity, henceforth providing a diverse, cultural hub for the Muslim Community of Slough.

Jamia Masjid & Islamic Cenre also offers a variety of different services to the community ranging from health/financial support sessions to Islamic Marriage Ceremonies to organised educational visits from schools. As a charity, Jamia Masjid & Islamic Centre has a few simple objectives:

  • The establishment of a Mosque and Educational Centre.
  • The propagation of Islam according to the Quran, the Sunnah (of the Prophet, PBUH) and the Hadith.
  • The establishment of a Madrasah (School) for the Religious Education of Muslim children.
  • The establishment of a library consisting of Islamic books (at the Centre).
  • The holding of Religious Festivals.
  • The holding of Sadqah/Zakat collections and its respective distribution according to Shariah.
  • Co-operation and liaison with other organisations pursuing similar objectives.

We hope you enjoy browsing through the site, and feel free to get in contact if you have any questions, (although please refer to the Announcements page for any events-related query as it may provide an answer).
